As a means to boost digital transformation in rural areas, the Uganda Communication Commission launched a program to distribute tablets to selected sub-counties in districts in Uganda. Mpenja Sub-county was selected in Gomba district, Kokomo Parish was selected for the program, and data collection was conducted to collect details of the beneficiaries in that parish.

 Uganda Communication Commission, with a team from UCC’s Universal Services and Access Fund (UCUSAF) in partnership with Bertcom Africa Limited,  prepared to distribute devices and train beneficiaries in the Parish on 13^th and 14^th November 2023 at Mpenja sub-county headquarters 

392 beneficiaries received tablets
